Indira Krishna Kumar,

Indira Krishna Kumar comes with 35 years of experience in teaching and school administration.Began her career in June 1978 and has worked with distinguished schools including a long stint at The Campus School, IIT Mumbai.

Some of her achievements:

Four times, has been part of the Schools Inspection Committee constituted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), to inspect and recommend affiliation of new schools seeking affiliation to the CBSE.

Has been appointed as Mentor to 5 schools in Thrissur District as part of the Mentoring and Monitoring effort of the CBSE.

Elected as the first Teachers’ Representative to the School Council of the IIT Campus School, Mumbai.

Chosen as the Best Teacher of the School for the year 92-93 by the Rotary Club of Bombay – North East.

Received an appreciation certificate from the Indian Council for International Amity in July 1995.

Has also undergone short term programmes on learning disorders, making it possible for her to educate teachers to recognize such disorders among the students they handle, and provide the right kind of support.

Has undergone a basic training course in the world renowned psychotherapy practice of Transactional Analysis, which has made her sensitive to the emotional needs of students, teachers and parents.
